The thousand-year-old fox demon, Fusheng, once borrowed the Mystic Mirror to save Qingqiu, but was misunderstood by Lou Tianxing, who believed she had caused his father's death. This misunderstanding led to his hatred for her lasting five hundred years. After being poisoned by spider venom, Fusheng exchanged her spiritual core for the help of the dark god Ziming, forging a one-year pact to journey to Illusion Peak. Throughout her struggles, she endured repeated humiliation from Lou Tianxing and schemes from Jinque. Fortunately, she was aided by Nishang, who helped uncover the truth. However, Nishang sacrificed her own life to save Fusheng.
Breaking free from a curse, Fusheng exposed the conspiracy and ultimately offered her spiritual essence to protect the vulnerable. This act allowed her to overcome the heart's tribulations and become a celestial being, restoring the mythical homeland of fox spirits, Qingqiu, in the process. Upon learning the truth, Lou Tianxing was filled with regret and spent a thousand years mastering divine arts and seeking redemption in search of her. Yet, by then, Fusheng had already let go of the past. Choosing a life of serene detachment, she stayed by Nishang's resurrected side, living her days in peaceful solitude.
