Link Miller, 28-year-old co-founder and CTO of Cook Cosmetics, a top NYC cosmetics company, holds all core formulas and is the invisible backbone of the company. He has been in love with company president Lexi Cook for ten years, and they are about to get engaged.
In the spring of 2026, Link works 24 hours straight to win the billion-dollar Upper East Side project. He takes a single cigarette break in a stairwell to refresh himself—only to be secretly photographed by Lexi's assistant, Arthur. Already seduced by Arthur, Lexi publicly fires Link and gives Arthur full credit for the project.
Heartbroken, Link returns to the office to retrieve his encrypted USB drive and walks in on Lexi and Arthur together in her office. Desperate, he calls Victoria Sterling, president of rival Sterling Global, who has always admired him. Overjoyed, Victoria offers him strategic partner-level resources.
After Link leaves, Lexi and Arthur take his Porsche, cause a hit-and-run, and frame Link for the crime. To protect Arthur, Lexi knocks Link unconscious, drugs him to destroy his voice, and fakes evidence. Just as Link is being arrested, Victoria arrives with hotel security footage and AI forensic reports, exposing the conspiracy and getting Arthur and the perjuring Lexi arrested.
Cleared of all charges, Link joins Sterling Global. His team develops "Golden Elixir," a revolutionary anti-aging serum with zero side effects. Lexi, out on bail, steals Link's unfinished formula and rushes "Moonlight Glow" to market. She makes a deadly bet with Victoria: the loser of the product launch surrenders her company and kneels in public apology.
