Chloe appears to be a picky neighbor, but is actually the sharp-tongued music critic known as "The Ice Queen" — a fact completely unknown to Jax. On a night when the power goes out on the rooftop, she pretends to be an unemployed proofreader and listens to him confess his obsession with earning the Queen's recognition. She secretly helps him refine his music, and the two develop feelings for each other. When her identity is accidentally exposed, Jax leaves in anger. Chloe then writes a music review in front of millions of fans, publicly affirming his original vision. Jax reads between the lines and recognizes the deep affection behind her words. He crosses the distance to find her, and they listen to a song together from opposite sides of a wall, finally finding their happy ending.
