Luke, a retired U.S. Navy nuclear submarine commander, lives under an assumed identity, working as a grease-stained mechanic in the bowels of a luxury cruise ship. When he detects a looming, deadly crisis and issues a warning, he is publicly humiliated and trampled upon by Chloe—an arrogant socialite—and the incompetent acting captain, who then forcibly divert the ship onto a collision course with a treacherous, hidden reef! As disaster strikes, Luke steps up; navigating blindly through the flooded lower decks, he executes a "god-tier drift" to save the entire vessel!
Yet, once rescued, this hypocritical pair repays his heroism with malice; colluding with the media, they launch a vicious online smear campaign against Luke, scheming to frame him and have him thrown in prison to take the fall!
