She requests Tyrell, her former lover and a top ripperdoc, to perform the procedure. Three years ago, Tyrell abandoned her without a word. Now he returns with a synth companion, unaware the terminal patient is Selene, ready to end her life. Selene encrypts her identity and dies peacefully. After her death, Tyrell learns the devastating truth. Decoding her memory shard, he discovers he left her because he also suffered from Neural-Rot, pretending to leave to let her live better. Finally, Tyrell exposes the corporate conspiracy to avenge her, then uploads his consciousness, merging with Selene forever in the digital void.
