Convinced that Lynn’s father had committed an unforgivable crime, Torren abducted Lynn on a stormy night and dragged her to a gloomy basement. Yet, when Lynn’s scalding tears of despair fell upon the back of his hand, a painful ripple of emotion stirred between them.
