Elena, a once wealthy heiress whose father committed suicide amid bankruptcy, is trapped working at a brutal underground fight club to pay off massive debts. She meets Zara, an undefeated, tough Black female boxer scarred by a miserable childhood of exploitation. Zara initially rejects Elena out of class inferiority and self-loathing, yet constantly steps in to shield her from lecherous guests and bullying rivals. Bound by daily wound care, training companionship and shared pain, the two grow close amid harsh fights and the club owner’s vicious schemes to separate them.
