In the isolated coastal town of Whitewake, an ancient tradition demands that a young woman be sacrificed to the Siren Prince every storm season in exchange for peace and prosperity. This year, the mayor’s daughter Vera is chosen, but her family secretly replaces her with their adopted daughter Aria Reed, sending Aria to the sea as a disposable sacrifice.
Abandoned in a violent storm, Aria nearly drowns before she calls out a name hidden in her childhood lullaby—“Kael.” The name belongs to Kael Maren, the powerful Siren Prince whose true name holds the key to his power. Bound by a mysterious connection, Kael saves Aria and takes her to his underwater kingdom, where she becomes both his prisoner and the only human who can affect him.
When Aria returns from the sea and exposes Whitewake’s lies, she discovers the sacrifices were never demanded by Kael. The missing girls were taken by the Abyss Maw, an ancient monster secretly fed by the town’s leaders and the siren traitor Nereus.
As Aria uncovers her mother’s forgotten past and the truth behind the sacrifices, she must choose between controlling Kael with his true name or trusting him freely. Refusing to become another person’s chain, Aria breaks the cycle of fear and sacrifice. In the end, she is no longer a victim offered to the ocean—she becomes the Tide Queen who restores justice to both land and sea.
