He gets entangled in a business dispute between the company and the Martin Group, uncovers a hidden listening device and tracks down a mole, and steadfastly protects Pam despite facing doubts and tests. After being humiliated and abandoned by his girlfriend Sally Abel over his inability to provide a bride price, Pam stands up for him.
