To save her dying husband, Carlos, she sacrificed her unborn dragonborn offspring still in the womb; to restore the House of Barros Knights, she offered up her dragon heartstone, her dragonfire, and her full draconic form. After being humiliated, tormented, and drained of every last drop of ancient dragon blood, Yara at last used her third heart scale to make one final wish: that all who had betrayed her would lose their surnames, their lands, their heirs, and all the glory bestowed by dragonfire. Once the ancient dragon's covenant of vengeance descended, lies were exposed, and the wicked suffered one by one from the backlash.
