When Love Comes Late

Stella Anderson, married to an unknown man named Maverick for a year, starts a new job as a PR professional for CEO Matthew Clark. Unbeknownst to her, Matthew is Maverick. Matthew, misinterpreting Stella's interactions with her cousin Oliver, believes she is cheating and seeks a divorce. Stella, hurt by her husband's indifference, agrees. At work, Stella excels, handling a difficult client and a PR crisis involving actress Vivien, earning Matthew's respect and subtle concern. During a business trip, Matthew, suffering from claustrophobia and a stomachache, is cared for by Stella. He later drunkenly laments his wife's supposed infidelity, unaware he's speaking to her. Stella, also facing divorce, sympathizes. Their paths continue to cross outside work, leading to growing, yet complicated, feelings and misunderstandings, while the divorce looms.
