The Hockey Captain Who Loved Me for Ten Years follows Ava Whitman, a student at West Oak High, who injures her ankle after being accidentally hit by a puck shot by hockey team captain Carter Ashford during practice. On the very same day, she catches her boyfriend, Brady, cheating on her. At first, Ava thinks Carter is simply the guilty “culprit” trying to take responsibility for what happened. But as they grow closer, she slowly discovers that Carter has remembered her since kindergarten — and has been secretly in love with her for ten whole years.
