Ella, the heiress of the Carter family, hides her identity to intern at Thornes and test her boyfriend Ethan. But she is betrayed: Ethan sacrifices her internship promotion for his junior Lena, who even smashes Ella's precious perfume left by her mother—yet Ethan still defends Lena blindly. When Ella's identity as the company's biggest investor is revealed, Ethan and Lena face the bitter consequences of their greed and hypocrisy. Meanwhile, Cole, the son of Thornes' CEO, is drawn to Ella's independence and courage, standing by her side firmly. Ella takes charge of Thornes, leads the company to a brilliant turnaround in the cosmeceutical industry, and finally lets go of the wrong person. She finds a genuine, equal love with Cole, growing into a powerful self while seizing both career and happiness.
