In Las Vegas, high-end nightclubs are not places where ordinary people go to have fun, but rather battlegrounds for clandestine deals between mobsters, tycoons, politicians, and capitalists. The protagonist, Mira Vale, is ostensibly a head bartender at a nightclub, but in reality, she possesses skills in financial crime analysis. Three years ago, after her sister was involved in a car accident, she was forced to take on a “life-saving debt” from mob boss Victor Kane.
During a shady M&A negotiation, Mira used her sharp financial instincts to point out that the acquisition offer was grossly undervalued, forcing Adrian Valdez—the head of a higher-tier mob empire—to raise the bid by $300,000 on the spot.
