Don't Wake the Dead - Final Script

In a world devastated by a sudden viral outbreak, humanity collapses into darkness—where survival depends not on strength, but on silence. Mara gives birth to a newborn son, Noah, deep inside an underground hospital as the apocalypse begins to unfold above her. But the child’s first cry becomes both a miracle and a curse—every sound he makes draws the infected closer, turning life itself into a deadly signal. Forced into a convoy of hardened survivors, Mara discovers that the real horror is not just the infected outside, but the ruthless logic of the new world order led by Derek—a man who believes survival justifies any sacrifice. In his world, even a baby’s cry is a weapon that can be used… or eliminated. As Noah’s mysterious ability begins to emerge—drawing and influencing the infected in ways no one can explain—the group fractures into chaos. Some see salvation, others see a biological threat that must be controlled or destroyed. Caught between maternal instinct and the brutal rules of survival, Mara is pushed to the edge of collapse. To save her son, she must defy not only the infected world outside, but also the humans willing to weaponize him. In the end, the question is no longer whether humanity can survive—but whether it deserves to.
