Upon reaching adulthood, she carried a family heirloom and went down the mountain to search for her birth parents. Fate brought her back to the icy city of Winterfell, where she came face to face with her biological parents. Facing her parents' guilt and their reluctance to acknowledge her, Laura turned the tide with her own strength during a life-or-death duel between two feuding families, astonishing the entire city. In a crystal ball test, her bloodline awakened and its radiance shot into the sky. Her parents were filled with regret, and finally, under the gaze of the whole city, they tearfully reclaimed their daughter. However, the crisis was far from over. Blair, a remnant of the Lancaster family, escaped from prison and sought refuge with Morak, Merlin's renegade junior disciple and a member of the Dark Night Blood Clan. Morak, driven by jealousy over their master's legacy, bided his time for years, waiting to take revenge on Merlin. He manipulated Blair into destroying his own foundation to cultivate a forbidden dark art, and then, posing as Merlin, held a grand heroes' banquet in Carenno City, intending to lure Laura into a deadly trap. Laura's senior fellow apprentice, Evan, came down the mountain to assist her. They joined forces to investigate, gradually uncovering Morak's conspiracy layer by layer. At the banquet, Laura publicly exposed Blair's disguise, and they made a pact to fight to the death. Facing a foe who had fully mastered the forbidden art and whose killing intent soared to the heavens, Laura had to protect her hard-won family bond and the honor of her master's sect, ushering in the final chapter of this destined showdown.
