Zara, a night‑shift janitor at a Los Angeles museum, is forced by racist coworkers to kiss an ancient mummy—Pharaoh Amenhotep. The kiss unleashes golden hieroglyphs and awakens the three‑thousand‑year‑old ruler. He declares her his reincarnated queen, but Zara just wants him out of her apartment. Amenhotep stays, paying her rent with ancient gold and mistaking her microwave for a shrine to Ra. Slowly, Zara discovers the curse: unless she truly loves him, his soul will dissolve.
