In the Kingdom of Aetherlan, Elena, the once-in-a-millennium elven prophet, has one fatal bug: every prophecy she speaks comes true in the exact opposite way.
Her people brand her a walking disaster and lock her inside a tree prison—until the Shadow Army reaches their borders. Desperate, the elders beg her to predict the outcome of the war.
Elena sneers, “You’re going to lose. Badly.”
The next day, the Shadow Army mysteriously retreats.
The entire clan drops to its knees and begs her to keep saying the opposite of what they want. Elena quickly gets tired of it.

The next morning, the elders personally unlock her cell and invite her to sit on the throne.
That’s when Elena discovers the ultimate money-making scheme. She opens a “Reverse Prophecy Agency” in the elven capital, charging one thousand gold coins to tell each client, “You’re about to have terrible luck.”
The next day, they’re guaranteed to win the lottery.
Nobles line up to throw money at her. Even the king visits in disguise and asks her to predict that the kingdom will fall.
Elena casually replies, “This kingdom will prosper for a thousand years.”
The next morning, a rebellion breaks out along the border.
The king is furious, but Elena remains perfectly calm.
“Your Majesty, you only paid for one sentence. If you want me to stop the rebellion, that’ll be another ten thousand gold coins.”
Grinding his teeth, the king pays.
Elena declares, “The rebels will win.”
