In her past life, the female lead saved a homeless man — actually the Wine God in disguise. He gave her a goblet. Drinking from it gave her the Midas Touch, but each use cost her life force. Used as a pawn by a power hungry prince, she was exploited and ultimately killed by her jealous sister. With her last breath, she turned her sister's family to gold — and died. After her death, the Wine God revealed she was his daughter. He reversed time and gave her a second chance. This time, her sister stole the goblet first, gaining the Midas Touch herself. The prince still chased power, and the curse remained: the sister's body decayed, greed consumed the family and the court, and all were destroyed by their own desires. The female lead watched from the shadows — and let them destroy themselves.
