A sudden viral outbreak occurs at Chenguang High School. Lin Xiaoyue leads her classmates in a desperate struggle for survival, fighting against intelligent infected individuals with sentience, and also encountering the cruelty of humanity—the plundering of supplies and the slaughter of their own kind. The group learns that the virus is a product of military experimentation. Xiaoyue gains superpowers through an inhibitor, and the group successfully uploads the antidote formula. After her companions are killed, Xiaoyue becomes crucial to vaccine development. Ultimately, she leads the team out of the safe zone, transforming into a guardian and embarking on a rescue mission.
