Ethan of the Voss family can see the date of people’s death marked on their wrists. As a boy, his predictions about his elder brother and father’s fatal accidents came true. His mother died in childbirth, and his sisters branded him a curse. They locked him in the basement for eighteen years. At twenty-two, Ethan foresees his own death date. After saving someone’s life, his power is proven real. He discovers all males in his family are born with this gift, not a curse.
His sisters apologize and reconcile with him. Ethan resolves rifts with his younger sister. Working together, the family strives to evade his newly foretold death. In the end, Ethan uses his unique ability to protect his loved ones, and the whole family finally lives in peace and harmony.
