"After suffering a series of blows—failing his college entrance exams and being cheated on by his girlfriend—Cheng Mu was depressed. At the urging of his best friend Fang Zhan, he came to the village seeking excitement. He was skeptical of the walking marriage system, but then he discovered an older man named Li San, who had arrived a day earlier, who confidently claimed to have experienced it the previous night. Cheng Mu became intrigued. For several nights in a row, he repeatedly interacted with the women in the village, gradually discovering something unusual. His friend Fang Zhan, and the other older man, Li San, both experienced strange changes after having relations with the village women. Suspicious, Cheng Mu began to secretly investigate the village. After meeting the female protagonist, Tang Qian, he constantly tested her, while Tang Qian urged him to leave quickly. Through mutual probing and cooperation, the two uncovered the village's secrets..." The truth behind the "walking marriage" practice that captivated men in this village was that it was incredibly evil. The women lured men there to continue their lineage. Drinking their tea would induce arousal, and afterwards, men were given a special "divine fruit"—cherries treated with a drug that was addictive. They were forced to work in the mines. It turned out that a high priest in the village claimed to use evil magic to control the women and seduce men; any man who entered the village was doomed. The women were all forced into this situation.
Ultimately, Cheng Mu saw through the scheme. It was all a trick by the high priest, using folk customs as a pretext. He rescued his brothers and friends trapped in the mines, as well as the poor women of the village, allowing them to return to a peaceful life.
